Spartan Girls Lacrosse Club (SGLC) Registration

Spring 2022

Registration takes place for returning players online at

Spaces are limited.  Register soon as space is available on a first come first served basis.  Please remember to renew or register for your US Lacrosse membership* online prior to registration.  When space fills up we will create a waitlist, unfortunately those on the waitlist are not guaranteed a spot on a team.  Those on the waitlist will not be required to supply a US Lacrosse membership number until they are notified that there is space.

Registration in SGLC is limited to girls residing within the Springfield Township School District.

*US Lacrosse membership is mandatory and necessary for insurance purposes.

Per PAGLA rules:

Your daughter will have to fill out a waiver if they wish to play with a club that is not within the boundaries of the school district they reside. It is not where they attend school- but the district they live in- that is the boundary.  The waivers are available on the PAGLA website. After you fill out the waiver and get it signed you need to send it to the PAGLA board. They then make the decision.

We can only take as many players as we have coaches for.

3/4th grade:  Registration is on a first come first served basis.  Once we begin to add coaches we can release players off of the waitlist.

5/6 and 7/8:  We will open each age group up to 42 players - players will be placed on either an "A" or "B" team through their evaluation.

Little House (LH) is for 1st & 2nd graders interested in learning the sport of lacrosse.  In LH we  teach the fundamentals of lacrosse through instruction with the emphasis on fun and learning the game. The program will practice 2x/week until play days begin which are typically held on Saturdays and a few Sundays during the 2020 spring season. The Little House schedule begins Mid-April, weather permitting, running through the month of April thru early June.

2022 Practice Schedule:  Thursday 6:00-7:15p and Sunday 3:30-5:00p

Round Robins will vary.

Cost - $125

Our 3rd/4th grade league is the start of PAGLA play with small sided games and an introduction into the goalie position. Continued skill development and a supportive team environment are key at this level.  The teams travel locally to play other teams. They practice 2 evenings a week with games on Saturday afternoons.  This program runs from the beginning of April (weather permitting) thru early June.

2022 Practice Schedule:  Tuesday and Thursday 6:15-7:45p

2022 Game Round-Robin Schedule:  Saturdays 12:30-2:30p

Cost - $200

Our 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade travel teams compete in the PAGLA East Conference.  Unlike many clubs that are popping up in the area only those in PAGLA can compete in this league and are guaranteed a full schedule.  This is a competitive league and girls who sign up are expected to commit to all practices and games.  Our club will have an A and B team for each grade level with placement dependent on evaluations which take place in late January.  This program begins in March (weather permitting) and runs thru early June.

This is fantastic opportunity to keep our residents playing together to formulate strong bonds for their future success at the next level.

2022 5/6 Practice Schedule:  Wednesday and Friday 6:30-8:00p

2022 Game Schedule:  Saturdays 10:00a-Noon

2022 7/8 Practice Schedule:  Monday and Thursday 6:30-8:00p

2022 Game Schedule:  Saturdays 8:30-10:30a

Cost - $250

Evaluation Information:

All girls must attend at least one of the two dates.

The event will include skills evaluation and some fitness testing.

Girls may attend both sessions and we encourage you to attend both sessions as it a great way to get a stick in their hands and to get a jump on the upcoming season.  (Not to mention a good way to get them out of the house on a winter day.)

Volunteers Needed:

SGLC is an ALL-VOLUNTEER organization and are always in need of Coaches; Assistant Coaches and Team Coordinators.  SGLC relies soley on volunteers to make this amazing program run.  Without enough volunteers we will be unable to continue to provide this incredible opportunity for so many young girls who simply want to play the sport they love!  There are so many opportunities to help out - you do not need to be an expert or have any previous coaching experience - just someone who is willing to support this program and the young ladies we serve.

We will provide FREE training, and with enough volunteers we are happy to pair 3-4 coaches up to help support the players and each other in the best way possible!  The more the merrier!!!  If you have any questions please reach out

Thank you!

Noelle Powell & Morgan Pape
